Mr. Pitman also obtained a verdict of $1.5 million dollars in Albuquerque in 2016 for a nursing home resident’s family whose father sadly choked to death.

Mr. Pitman and PKSD have successfully argued before the New Mexico Court of Appeals and New Mexico Supreme Court. In the Peavy case, Mr. Pitman and his team helped form the law on the enforceability of nursing home arbitration agreements. In the Collado case, Mr. Pitman and his team helped advance the law of joint venture to that the owners, operators and managers are jointly held accountable for the neglectful care of a resident. Mr. Pitman and PKSD have been on the front lines of protecting New Mexico nursing home and assisted living patients.
